Not just you and me, but the whole shebang. How is any kind of life possible? The universe is a hostile place—solar flares, cosmic rays, asteroids flying about. The odds against our existence are truly astronomical. Take it from me—I’m an astrophysicist. My job is to look out into space, at stars and galaxies, trying to answer these basic how-did-the-universe-come-to-be questions. Well, those who have a religious faith have an answer: God. The earth’s distance from the sun, the size of the atom, and a thousand other things large and small that allow us to live and to breathe and to think all seem perfectly tuned for our existence. To many, this design suggests a designer. But from a purely scientific point of view, the faithful have a big problem: They can offer no indisputable proof for this belief. Because of the lack of hard evidence, it’s probably not surprising that over 70% of the members of the National Academy of Sciences declare themselves to be atheists. But they have a big problem, too. Absent a creator, how do they account for the existence of the universe, of planet earth, of human consciousness? How do they account for the existence of …anything? Well, turns out they have an answer. And it’s become all the rage in scientific circles. It’s called the “multiverse,” and according to many scientists, our universe isn’t the whole ball game; far from it. These scientists argue that there are an awful lot of universes out there—not just one or two, but an infinite number. Let me explain: 13.8 billion years ago, there was a Big Bang—from something unimaginably small (we don’t know exactly what), the universe exploded into existence. How did it happen? Why did it happen? Doesn’t matter. ‘Cause it happened. Immediately after the Big Bang, the universe underwent a rapid expansion. Think of a gush of bubbles exploding from a seriously shaken soda can just after it’s popped open. Cosmologists call this the Theory of Inflation. As the universe inflates and expands—the bubble universes grow and separate to become their own distinct entities, each with their own unique properties. In other words, new universes are spawned—and not just a handful…an infinite number of them. Some of these universes would be too cold for life, and some too hot. But, with an infinite number, surely one is bound to get it just right. In short, you and I are just an accident that, given enough universes, was inevitable. But, wait—there’s more. Because there are so many universes, it’s very likely, according to the multiverse scenario, that everything that could possibly happen does happen in one universe or another. That girlfriend who broke up with you? You’re married to her in another universe. Does this sound a bit far-fetched? A little science-fictiony? Not just you and me, but the whole shebang. How is any kind of life possible? The universe is a hostile place—solar flares, cosmic rays, asteroids flying about. The odds against our existence are truly astronomical. Take it from me—I’m an astrophysicist. My job is to look out into space, at stars and galaxies, trying to answer these basic how-did-the-universe-come-to-be questions. Well, those who have a religious faith have an answer: God. The earth’s distance from the sun, the size of the atom, and a thousand other things large and small that allow us to live and to breathe and to think all seem perfectly tuned for our existence. To many, this design suggests a designer. But from a purely scientific point of view, the faithful have a big problem: They can offer no indisputable proof for this belief. Because of the lack of hard evidence, it’s probably not surprising that over 70% of the members of the National Academy of Sciences declare themselves to be atheists. But they have a big problem, too. Absent a creator, how do they account for the existence of the universe, of planet earth, of human consciousness? How do they account for the existence of …anything? Well, turns out they have an answer. And it’s become all the rage in scientific circles. It’s called the “multiverse,” and according to many scientists, our universe isn’t the whole ball game; far from it. These scientists argue that there are an awful lot of universes out there—not just one or two, but an infinite number. Let me explain: 13.8 billion years ago, there was a Big Bang—from something unimaginably small (we don’t know exactly what), the universe exploded into existence. How did it happen? Why did it happen? Doesn’t matter. ‘Cause it happened. Immediately after the Big Bang, the universe underwent a rapid expansion. Think of a gush of bubbles exploding from a seriously shaken soda can just after it’s popped open. Cosmologists call this the Theory of Inflation. As the universe inflates and expands—the bubble universes grow and separate to become their own distinct entities, each with their own unique properties. In other words, new universes are spawned—and not just a handful…an infinite number of them. Some of these universes would be too cold for life, and some too hot. But, with an infinite number, surely one is bound to get it just right. In short, you and I are just an accident that, given enough universes, was inevitable. But, wait—there’s more. Because there are so many universes, it’s very likely, according to the multiverse scenario, that everything that could possibly happen does happen in one universe or another. Dennis Prager has Dr. Harvey Risch (MD, PhD , Professor of Epidemiology, Yale School of Public Health) on his program to discuss the issue of Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), it use, and the seemingly political fallout from the media and the Left (Democrats in Congress and Democrat governors). There is also discussion of how or why there is pressure or push-back against it’s use. I would say partly because of “TDS” (Trump Derangement Syndrome), but also 𝐵𝐼𝒢-𝒫𝐻𝒜𝑅𝑀𝒜. He and these five guys who are working for him were entitled to collect royalties from that. So you have a corrupt system and now they have a vaccine that is too big to fail. And instead of saying this was a terrible, terrible mistake, they are saying we are going to order 2 billion doses of this and you’ve got to understand Alan with these COVID vaccines these companies are playing with house money. They’re not spending any dime, they have no liability. Well if they kill 20 people or 200 people or 2,000 people in their clinical trials, big deal. They have zero liability. Let me just say -- as a bit of a warning -- I cannot find any of the below other than on questionable websites. Even the source Prager is reading from (HEALTH IMPACT NEWS: https://tinyurl.com/yboyaumu) is a conspiracy laden sight. And even though Prager mentioned putting this up on his site... it never showed up -- making me think his people encountered too many red-flags. ALSO, since I do not know French, I cannot confirm what Philippe Douste-Blazy is actually saying (the English subtitled version is here: https://youtu.be/ZYgiCALEdpE). ALL THAT BEING SAID, I wanted to share this now, and just know I might update the news as I either confirm or deny it's validity. Basically, the study Dr. Fauci used to support his claims regarding Hydroxychloroquine's dangers has been pulled a while back, HOWEVER, the fall-out continues! But one should also be aware that Hydroxychloroquine has no patent and can be produced for pennies. America’s liberals cite Sweden’s relatively high death rate (56 per 100,000 compared to 45.1 in France and 35.8 in the Netherlands). But two-thirds of deaths have been among those over age 80, and 97% never received intensive-care treatment. Dennis Prager has traveled all over the world. But at the end of every trip, he returns home with a new appreciation for America. Why? Because no country is more open, more generous, and has done more for the cause of freedom than America has. Script: I am a third-generation American—my parents and my maternal grandmother were born in Brooklyn, New York. But I didn’t know I loved America until my early twenties. In my third year of college, I studied in England and began a life of travel that eventually took me to one hundred and thirty countries. That was when I began to understand how important America was to the world—and still is. That was when I began to understand how unique America was—and still is. That was when I began to appreciate the decency of the American people. Being away from America for a year, spending the Christmas season in Morocco, where there was no Christmas season, and ending the year with a month in the Soviet Union, where there was no freedom—this all had a life-changing impact on me. I realized how lucky I was to be an American. I even realized how much I simply enjoyed being an American. I'll explain: 1. How important America is to the world. Without in any way diminishing the enormous sacrifices made by England and France, it was America’s entry into World War I that made the defeat of Imperial Germany possible and ended that horrible war. It was America that made the Allied victory possible in World War II and kept Western Europe free during the Cold War. Thirty-seven thousand Americans died fighting the North Korean and Chinese communist regimes. Were it not for America, all of Korea would have no human rights and would endure the mass torture, starvation, and murder that have been routine in North Korea until today. The next time you hear the lie that America fought in Vietnam for colonialist reasons, ask that person: Why did America fight in Korea? I’ll tell you why: to stop the spread of communism, the greatest genocidal and totalitarian ideology in history, and thereby enable more than half of Korea to live in freedom. Another fifty-eight thousand Americans died in Vietnam to enable the South Vietnamese to live in the same freedom America made possible for South Koreans. Neither Vietnam nor Korea had any natural resources that America wanted. Americans died in those two countries solely so that their people could be free. And, without diminishing the role of the great British prime minister, Margaret Thatcher, and the great pope, John Paul II, it was America that ended communism in the Soviet Union, Poland, East Germany, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Romania, and Bulgaria, and liberated, among other nations, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. 2. America is unique. America is the only country that was founded not on a race, ethnicity, or nationality, but on an idea: limited government—because the founders of America believed, first and foremost, in liberty. America became the freest country in world history, which is why France gave the Statue of Liberty to one country: America. And America has given more liberty and opportunity to more people from more nations than any country in world history. Yes, America allowed slavery in half of its states. But every society in the world practiced slavery. What rendered America unique is that Americans killed one another in its bloodiest war to abolish slavery and that it eventually became the least racist multiracial country in history. It remains the only white-majority country to have ever elected a black leader. And Africans know how good America is, which is why, by the 1980s, more black Africans had come to America voluntarily as immigrants seeking freedom and opportunity than ever came as slaves. The Constitution of the United States created a representative republic marked by federalism and the separation of powers. Yet numerous federal judges--led by the Supreme Court--have used the Constitution as a blank check to substitute their own views on hot-button issues such as abortion, capital punishment, and samesex marriage for perfectly constitutional laws enacted by We the People through our elected representatives. Now, The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Constitution shows that there is very little relationship between the Constitution as ratified by the thirteen original states more than two centuries ago and the "constitutional law" imposed upon us since then. As Professor Gutzman shows, constitutional law is supposed to apply the Constitution's plain meaning to prevent judges, presidents, and congresses from overstepping their authority. If we want to return to the founding fathers' vision of the Republic, if we want the Constitution enforced in the way it was explained to the people at the time of its ratification, then we have to overcome the "received wisdom" about what constitutional law is. Dennis Prager reads from Harvey A. Risch’s (MD, PhD , Professor of Epidemiology, Yale School of Public Health) article entitled, “The Key to Defeating COVID-19 Already Exists. We Need to Start Using It” (NEWSWEEK: https://tinyurl.com/yyxnr5ea). In the article, not only does Dr. Risch discuss Hydroxychloroquine as safe and effective to use, but he notes the attack on doctors who use it: ✦ Physicians who have been using these medications in the face of widespread skepticism have been truly heroic. They have done what the science shows is best for their patients, often at great personal risk. I myself know of two doctors who have saved the lives of hundreds of patients with these medications, but are now fighting state medical boards to save their licenses and reputations. The cases against them are completely without scientific merit. One such high profile doctor is Senator and “Doctor of the Year,” Scott Jensen, MD. This film, based on eye witness testimony, details the most notorious gulag in Siberia - and some of its horrific crimes and atrocities. The Kolyma region (Russian: Колыма]) is located in part of the Russian Far East. It is bounded by the East Siberian Sea and the Arctic Ocean in the north and the Sea of Okhotsk to the south. The extremely remote region gets its name from the Kolyma River and mountain range, parts of which were not discovered until 1926. The Kolyma, part inside the Arctic Circle, is characterized by frigidly cold winters lasting up to six months of the year. Permafrost and tundra cover a large part of the region. Average winter temperatures range from -19 °C to -38 °C (even lower in the interior), and average summer temperatures, from +3 °C to +16 °C. In the Stalinist era, Kolyma became the most notorious region for the Gulag labor camps. A million or more people may have died en route to the area or in the Kolyma's series of gold mining, road building, lumbering, and construction camps between 1932 and 1954. It was Kolyma's reputation that caused Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, author of The Gulag Archipelago, to characterize it as the "pole of cold and cruelty" in the Gulag system. They are good at it. An analyst at a democratic polling firm tweeted about a study that concluded “… riots reduce the share of democratic votes.” Quickly, an online mob rallied with complaints. One tagged the CEO of Civis Analytics, telling him to, "Come get your boy.” "Within days, this … guy was let go from the position,” says Robby Soave, author of "Panic Attack: Young Radicals in the Age of Trump." “So all this young man does is tweet an article that's obviously true, and he gets fired?” asks Stossel. “Why are they winning? Their argument is ridiculous.” “Because people are afraid to challenge them. It just takes one employee at one company, to say, ‘Here's the law that protects my rights to feel safe and comfortable … If you're not making me feel safe … I'm going to get you in trouble. I might even sue you,’” Soave explains. So “cancel culture” grows. In England, a tax specialist lost her job for saying being female is a biological fact. When Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling defended her, tweeting, “Force women out of their jobs for stating sex is real?” the mob came for Rowling. They called her transphobic, said her tweet was “cruel and inaccurate.” Some staff at her publisher refused to work on her upcoming book. But Rowling is the rare person popular enough to be able to resist the mob. Her publisher stood up for her saying, “freedom of speech is the cornerstone of publishing.” That’s how all these cases should be handled. “We just have to speak up,” says Soave. That can be hard in the current “cancel culture.” But those of us who can speak up, should.

Did they at least reduce the racial income gap? Minneapolis’ black/white income disparity is about the biggest in the country. That confuses the media. “Minneapolis had progressive policies, but its economy still left black families behind,” reads a headline in the Washington Post. Instead of “but," the word should be: “therefore.” Because as Minnesota Senate candidate Jason Lewis points out: "When you take away the incentive for work and savings and investment, you get less of it." There, they sentenced a man to more than a year in jail for making a Facebook live video outside a courthouse. Getting locked up for something you write on social media is also common; hundreds get arrested for that in Britain every year. Fortunately, in America, thanks to First Amendment, we can say most anything without being jailed. We also have a right to bear arms. Not in Britain, which has some of the strictest gun regulations in the world. Of course, there’s more to the Constitution than the 1st and 2nd Amendments. The Constitution divided government power in ways that limit authoritarian politicians from both parties. Trump’s own Supreme Court appointee ruled that a law making it easier to deport some immigrants was unconstitutionally vague. The Supreme Court stopped President Obama 96 times. The Constitution has failed in some ways. It accepted slavery. Although Thomas Jefferson promised "a wise and frugal government," the Constitution didn't stop our politicians from running up $25 trillion in debt. It didn't stop our government from passing 180,000 pages of rules. Still, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence have helped keep us free. That’s what John Stossel will celebrate this 4th of July.

Sign up here: https://johnstossel.activehosted.com/f/1 - ---- At the New York Times, head opinion editor James Bennett resigned for committing the sin of running an op-ed by a Republican senator, which said the military should help control riots. Bennett resigned after his colleagues took to Twitter and eerily all posted this exact same wording: "Running this puts Black @NYTimes staffers in danger." "That language spoke to a potential legal concern,” says Robby Soave, author of "Panic Attack: Young Radicals in the Age of Trump". "Various workplace harassment protections that are well-intended,” says Soave, lead activists to say, "if you have a responsibility to have a racially hospitable climate in the workplace, then how can you allow someone to say something that offends me?'" I point out: "But [Cotton's op-ed] didn't put their lives in danger." "No it didn't," he responds. "It's absurd, and they're only claiming it because that's their way -- that's their tactic for seizing power in the workplace." Soave also says he knows where they learned this tactic, on college campuses. He covered the incident in 2016 where dozens of Yale students surrounded a professor and shouted at him, calling for him to be fired. What had he done? He defended his wife for sending out an email to students saying she had no business censoring Halloween costumes -- even ones that represented people from other cultures. "The message that you sent proclaiming that cultural appropriation on Halloween is totally permissible is, is hurtful!” shouted one student. Others broke into tears. One refused to shake the professor's hand, shouting, "I want your job to be taken from you!" It was. He had to resign as the head of a Yale residential house. His wife did, too, and she also quit teaching. Now those former students have graduated, and many are using the same tactics in the workforce, especially in the news media. Sometimes, police chiefs know someone is a bad cop... but they still can't fire the person. One officer hit a woman at a parade. Another challenged arrestees to fights, several times. Police departments tried to fire those cops, only to be forced to hire them back after the officers' unions sued. Most of the police violence against protesters seen in recent weeks took place in places where cops have generous union contracts. I interview Larry Cosme, head of America’s biggest law enforcement association. He points out that cops have difficult and dangerous jobs. He argues that officers deserve union protections. Researchers first give a vaccine to some test subjects, while giving others a placebo (a fake.) Then the researchers have to wait as test subjects go out into the world, resume their normal lives, and see who catches the virus. Some test subjects will get sick, and some won't. But it takes a long time (months, if not years) for enough test subjects to get sick to determine if the people with the vaccine did better than the ones given the fake dose. That's why we hear it'll be "12-18 months" before a vaccine is available. Even President Trump, with his "warp speed" plan, says he hopes it'll be ready "by the end of the year." That's 6 months away. But there is a faster way! Instead of waiting for test subjects to get infected, intentionally infect some. Then researchers wouldn't have to wait. More than 24,000 volunteers have already signed up, saying they're willing to be voluntarily infected with COVID-19 to find a vaccine faster. They told me things like: -- "If a vaccine were come on just one month earlier, it'd save 220,000 lives." -- "I'm young and healthy, so the risks for me are relatively low." -- "I want to play any role I can in ending this crisis." -- "I have no hesitation, no second thoughts, because I understand the science." They'd be part of what's called a "human challenge trial" because participants are "challenged" with the virus. The method was used to find vaccines for diseases like Malaria, Cholera, and the flu. Some bioethicists urge researchers to slow down, saying it's wrong to voluntarily infect people with a disease that has no known cure. But I say: these volunteers are adults who know the risks! Let people make their own choices. The volunteers may save thousands of lives .
