Perhaps the left’s greatest contribution to public discourse is to threaten anyone who disagrees with them with financial ruin, slander, embarrassment, condemnation, homelessness and prison — and then announce the existence of a “consensus.”
 
Their signature consensus-by-threat technique has been used to prove the truth of global warming, Russian interference with the 2016 election, COVID-19 lockdowns, Hunter Biden’s laptop as Russian disinformation, and — especially important today — the nonexistence of voter fraud.
 
Dissenters from the liberal position on all these issues are slyly compared to Holocaust conspiracy theorists by calling them “deniers” — “climate deniers,” “COVID deniers,” “mask deniers,” “global warming deniers,” “science deniers,” and “election deniers.” Until very, very recently, “denier” was a word that referred exclusively to Holocaust deniers.
 
Although I’m sure it’s fun, browbeating people into a terrified, cowering silence isn’t proof of anything. In fact, it kind of suggests beliefs of such dainty substance that raising the slightest objection could make the whole thing fall apart.
 
Ask Soviet scientists who were sent to the gulag for refusing to renounce Lysenkoism about it. Oh, you can’t. They’re dead.
 
Today, we’ll examine the left’s “consensus” on the question of voter fraud. With the SAVE Act (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act) under debate — which would merely require proof of citizenship to vote — we’re getting a lot of categorical, sweeping statements for which there can be no proof, such as, “the 2020 election was the most secure in U.S. history!”
 
 
Seventeen intelligence agencies agree! Wait – no, that was about Putin hacking the 2016 election to elect Trump.
 
To the extent liberals bother trying to marshal any proof that voter fraud doesn’t exist, their evidence is:
 
1) Promiscuous use of words like “without evidence,” “misinformation,” “conspiracy theory,” “lies,” and “you’re more likely to be struck by lightning.” (All those are from a single New York Times article on voter fraud.)
 
It’s like lefty Tourette’s. Shohei Ohtani hit a towering home-run to center field, without evidence.
 
2) Name-calling — extremely effective among kindergarteners and New York Times readers; and
 
3) Citing the rarity of voter fraud convictions.

Thus, a Times opinion piece proved that voter fraud is a “myth” by citing the book “The Myth of Voter Fraud.” Not sold yet? Just wait. The book noted that, in 2005, there were more prosecutions for migratory bird law violations than voter fraud. (Perhaps liberals wouldn’t be so glib about migratory bird prosecutions if they knew that 90% of the cases are brought against oil companies.)
 
I was previously unaware of the “No Convictions, No Crimes” mathematical proof. Now that I know about it, I’ve got a banger. This should at least win me a Booker Prize, if not a Nobel.
 
I can prove that there were no lynchings in the Old South from 1877 to 1950. Convictions for lynchings were vanishingly rare and punishment rarer.
 
But even the Klan didn’t block prosecutions like liberals do. The estimated 1% conviction rate for lynchings is still higher than the .0000845% of convictions for voter fraud that liberals tout to prove the nonexistence of voter fraud.
 
There, I’ve just eliminated about 30% of universities’ core curriculum.
 
Remember back in 2006 and 2007 when President Bush fired eight of his own U.S. attorneys for not investigating voter fraud, and all hell broke loose?
 
About a decade earlier, in an unprecedented act, Bill Clinton had fired all 93 U.S. attorneys a few months into his presidency — including one who was about to bring criminal charges against Clinton’s crucial ally, Representative Dan Rostenkowski (D-IL). It was a legit prosecution: The following year, Rostenkowski pleaded guilty and went to prison.
 
Not a peep of protest. But when Bush fired eight of his own U.S. attorneys for nonperformance on — what was it again? — voter fraud cases, there were congressional investigations, an inspector general’s report and hysterical denunciations from the media.
 
The Times alone ran 25 — 25! — editorials, calling the firings a “scandal,” a “political purge” a “cover-up,” and demanded the resignation of Bush Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. If that isn’t proof that there’s no such thing as voter fraud, I don’t know what is.
 
The science is settled! Voter fraud does not exist.
 
When President Trump put (now) Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach in charge of his Commission on Election Integrity in 2017, left-wing groups promptly filed a dozen lawsuits against the commission’s work — more than had ever been brought against any presidential commission in history.
 
The lawsuits were nonsense, but responding to them consumed all of the commission’s time, preventing it from, you know, looking into voter fraud. Kobach had no choice but to shut down the whole thing and head back to Kansas.
 
And that’s how we know for a fact that there’s no such thing as election fraud. It’s as fake as Hunter Biden’s laptop. As bogus as the natural immunity. As phony as lynchings in the Jim Crow South.

Obviously, the Supreme Court’s ruling on anchor babies in Trump v. Barbara is ridiculous. Chief Justice John Roberts, along with the Papist nut and the three witches, has apparently decided the “FREE MONEY” sign on our border was not good enough. We need to give the third world an even bigger incentive to flock here. Henceforth, we will lure illegal aliens with the guarantee of American citizenship for any kids they give birth to on U.S. soil. Welcome Hamas! (And you thought Democratic primaries were already wild!)
Inasmuch as no one on TV seems to have bothered reading the opinions, here are a few highlights.
1) Justice Clarence Thomas’s dissent is a tour de force. It will go down in history with Justice Benjamin Curtis’s dissent in Dred Scott and Justice Frank Murphy’s dissent in Korematsu. (It’s also a good primer for snowbirds, who plan to avoid state taxes by moving to Florida, on the vital importance and clear legal meaning of “domicile.”)
By contrast, Roberts’s opinion for the court will go down with Justice Neil Gorsuch’s opinion in Bostock v. Clayton County, finding that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibited discrimination against transgender employees—a ruling that was so embarrassing it was immediately ignored by everyone, including Gorsuch. That was clear this week, when, for the fourth time since Bostock, the court rejected similar claims by transgenders.
2) I’m sorry to mention that, inasmuch as Gorsuch was on the right side of the anchor baby case. Which reminds me, could the conservatives confidently informing us that anchor babies are required by the constitution (Bill O’Reilly, John Yoo, The Wall Street Journal, etc.) cite a single other case with Roberts on one side and Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh on the other, where Roberts was right? How about that terrific Obamacare ruling, deeply grounded in the text of the constitution?
3) Thomas’s central point—appalling to liberals, but true nonetheless—is that the purpose of the 14th Amendment was to overrule Dred Scott, which held that black Americans were not citizens and therefore could not sue in federal court.
Black slaves and freedmen alike, Thomas writes, “were unambiguously Americans. They were not foreigners. They were not aliens. They owed no foreign allegiance.” He quotes Frederick Douglass’s plea for the citizenship of blacks: “We address you not as aliens nor as exiles … We are Americans.”
In response to Thomas’s manifestly obvious point that the Fourteenth Amendment was “enacted … with the one pervading purpose of securing equal citizenship for the freed slaves,” the great legal scholar Justice Ketanji Jackson ripostes: “The teacher who scolds a student for bullying a classmate hopes the student learns the broader lesson of treating everyone with kindness, not just that one kid.”
3) In his 91-page dissent, Thomas cites 42 legal cases, 19 historical letters or diplomatic dispatches, 6 formal Attorney General opinions and 11 statutes, including The Civil Rights Act of 1866, The Expatriation Act of 1868 and the Naturalization Acts of 1790, 1795 and 1802. All directly on point.
This, Roberts calls “scant evidence.” Whereas he cites a mighty three cases for his majority opinion: an inapposite one from Britain; the opinion of a New York assistant vice chancellor in an 1844 inheritance dispute in New York (BIG, if true); and one, Wong Kim Ark—the “strongest support for today’s decision,” as Alito put it—using dubious dicta from a wandering opinion that primarily relied on the parents having been “legally domiciled” in the U.S. when the child was born. Not to be confused with, “living here illegally.” (Or “wintering in Palm Beach.”)
It’s as if Roberts didn’t realize the case was about kids born to illegal aliens.
5) Roberts’s weirdest citation is to an 1872 letter from Attorney General George Williams describing Francois Heinrich, a child born to Austrian parents while they were “temporarily residing” in New York City, as having been “originally clothed with American nationality.”

The average voter turnout in a presidential election between 2000 to 2016 was around 53% to 54%. The mainstream media alleged the 2020 voter turnout was about 60%... When in reality, the 2020 voter turnout was actually around 95%, which is a catastrophic indicator of a FRAUDULENT ELECTION. The reason the mainstream media is wrong is because they took the number of votes divided by the over 18 population, which does NOT equal voter turnout. Voter turnout is the number of votes divided by the number of registered voters. This is because "population over 18" includes people who are eligible to vote, but are not registered, it includes non-citizens who legally can't vote, it includes felons who can't vote, it includes mentally incapacitated people who can't vote, etc. So, the over 18 population is greater than the number of registered voters. If you take the number of votes reported in 2020 and divide by the over 18 population, 60% is higher than 53% to 54% average, but plausible. If you take the reported number of votes divided by the actual number of registered voters, you get around a reported 95%, which clearly shows that 2020 was a fraudulent election.

Transcript: What Is Birthright Citizenship? Presented by Amy Swearer Does the Constitution grant citizenship to anyone born in the United States? Even the children of people who’ve entered the country illegally? Or the children of foreign tourists who owe our country no allegiance? That’s the question underlying the controversial issue of birthright citizenship. Many people today take it for granted that the answer is yes: if you’re born on American soil, you’re an American citizen. Period. End of issue. But is that what the Constitution says? Let’s first look at the text of that document, specifically the Fourteenth Amendment. It reads, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States...” Case closed, right? Not so fast. The key phrase here is, “subject to the jurisdiction thereof…” — it creates a second condition for birthright citizenship beyond merely being born on American soil. But it also raises another question: who is born subject to U.S. jurisdiction? To answer that question, we need some historical context. The Fourteenth Amendment was ratified in 1868, just three years after the end of the Civil War. Its purpose was to rectify the infamous 1857 Supreme Court decision Dred Scott v. Sandford, in which the Court declared that black Americans were not and could never be citizens. Even after slavery was abolished in 1865, Dred Scott technically remained the law of the land. Black Americans were left in limbo—they were no longer slaves, but they still were not citizens. The Fourteenth Amendment resolved the issue, once and for all. These newly freed slaves and their descendants were certainly born “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States. This had been their home for generations. If they were not American citizens, to which other nation did they still belong? So while the Fourteenth Amendment resolved the issue as it related to race, its authors would have been shocked to learn that we now interpret these words to make citizens of virtually anyone born on U.S. soil, under all circumstances. As Yale Law Professor William C. Robinson explained in his 1875 legal treatise, the Fourteenth Amendment grants citizenship only to those “born within the jurisdiction and allegiance of the United States”—a condition that requires, at minimum, lawful permanent residence in this country. This was also the original understanding of the federal government. In 1885, for example, the State Department rejected the citizenship claim of a man named Richard Greisser. Yes, Greisser had been born in Ohio eighteen years earlier, but his German parents never intended to stay in the United States. They returned with their son to Germany shortly after his birth. Because Greisser’s parents did not owe the United States political allegiance, their son wasn’t born subject to its jurisdiction, at least not within the meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment’s citizenship clause. Similarly, in 1890, the Justice Department considered the citizenship claim of a child born to one Mary Devereaux, a pregnant Irish woman being held on a ship in New York Harbor. While awaiting immigration approval, Devereaux left the ship for medical treatment and subsequently gave birth in a New York hospital. Authorities later denied her immigration application. Because Devereaux wasn’t eligible for lawful admission to the U.S., her U.S.-born daughter was not recognized as a U.S. citizen. Both mother and child were sent back to Ireland. The Supreme Court addressed the question of birthright citizenship in the 1898 case of United States v. Wong Kim Ark. Wong was born and raised in San Francisco, the son of Chinese immigrants. In 1895, after a short trip to China, Wong returned to the U.S., only to be detained by authorities and threatened with deportation. Wong sued, arguing that he was an American citizen by birth. To help you find the Way and to help you make Christ’s doctrine the guiding influence in your life, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has prepared a new resource, a revised version of For the Strength of Youth.
 
For over 50 years, For the Strength of Youth has been a guide for generations of Latter-day Saint youth. I always keep a copy in my pocket, and I share it with people who are curious about our standards. It has been updated and refreshed to better cope with the challenges and temptations of our day. The new version of For the Strength of Youth is available online in 50 different languages and will also be available in print. It will be a significant help for making choices in your life. Please embrace it as your own and share it with your friends.
This new version of For the Strength of Youth is subtitled A Guide for Making Choices.
To be very clear, the best guide you can possibly have for making choices is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the strength of youth.
So the purpose of For the Strength of Youth is to point you to Him. It teaches you eternal truths of His restored gospel—truths about who you are, who He is, and what you can accomplish with His strength. It teaches you how to make righteous choices based on those eternal truths.13
It’s also important to know what For the Strength of Youth does not do. It doesn’t make decisions for you. It doesn’t give you a “yes” or “no” about every choice you might ever face. For the Strength of Youth focuses on the foundation for your choices. It focuses on values, principles, and doctrine instead of every specific behavior.
The Lord, through His prophets, has always been guiding us in that direction. He is pleading with us to “increase [our] spiritual capacity to receive revelation.”14 He is inviting us to “hear Him.”15 He is calling us to follow Him in higher and holier ways.16 And we are learning in a similar way every week in Come, Follow Me.
