There’s one drum I won’t stop banging, because it’s a righteous call to war: The Left is not a secular, rationalistic, science-driven movement — though for the sake of social prestige and power it still pretends to be. But in fact, it never was.
At every point since the invention of the Left/Right spectrum in the fevered, bloodthirsty frenzy of the French Revolution, the Left has been a post-Christian heresy. It’s a cargo cult that cherrypicks from the gospels shiny moral sentiments and glittering aspirations, like the work of some mindless magpie.
A New Rival Gospel
Never mind that Jesus’s moral mandates would be literally nonsensical if He was not divine and couldn’t offer eternal rewards for self-sacrifice in this life. (Try explaining “Turn the other cheek” to Ghengis Khan and then get back to me; I’d love to hear how that goes. The meek did not inherit the Mongol Empire.) Nor that claims of “equality” among all men only hold up if we mean “in the eyes of God,” since in our own sight we’re vastly diverse and manifestly unequal.
Even the militantly atheistic, self-styled “scientific” Communist Utopia millions were willing to kill for was cooked up by Karl Marx as a thinly secularized knock-off of the New Jerusalem. Read historian Norman Cohn’s authoritative The Pursuit of the Millennium to learn how Marx’s program replicated the crackpot claims of self-anointed “prophets” who roused the rabble to murder the priests and pillage the local Jews.
But Leftists are born with the same God-shaped hole in their souls as everyone else, so they plunder the Gospel to fill it, picking only the bits and pieces that please them to make a kind of taxidermied replacement Christ fashioned in their own image. These false Christs or antichrists are invariably cast as victims, waved around as banners, and finally used as cudgels … to pummel actual Christians.
First the Peasants, Then the Workers
The original radical Leftists of the French Revolution held up “the peasants” as the suffering souls for whom they fought — even as the revolutionary government waged a vicious, genocidal war against the real, live peasants of the Vendee region, killing some 300,000 for the crime of clinging to their Church, instead of the fake one the government had set up and imposed on them.
A hundred years later, Karl Marx and his movement would claim the international working class as the victims whom they’d champion against the ruthless exploitation of capitalist oppressors. But Marx would fiercely oppose any moderate reforms that would improve workers’ real lives, since these might slow down the bloody revolution he needed to impose Communist rule. His followers would fight against any labor unions they couldn’t control.
Of course, once the Communists seized power in Russia, then other countries, they would enslave the workers and peasants alike, putting them to work in state-owned monopolies, closing their churches, and subjecting them to totalitarian surveillance and persecution.
The New Antichrist Idols: “Persecuted” Immigrants
The present face of Leftist false religion manifests as a trinity: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and its ersatz Christ figure is the immigrant. Marxists and tribalists paint immigrants as victims of climate change, Islamophobia, and dictatorial governments. Cheap labor globalists depict them as rough and ready workers whose ethic is better than the sullen, spoiled American natives ripe for replacement.
 
The media, besotted by their new post-Christian creed, like to select which immigrant stories to tell, the better to paint the Trump administration and its backers as heartless, intolerant, ignorant racist bullies. But Trump’s team has been clever, having learned from the debacle of 2017, when their efforts to protect child migrants from human traffickers got painted as “separating families” and “putting kids in cages.”
So the administration focused its first removal efforts on gang members, rabid antisemites and jihadists, confident that diversity-happy editors and lawless federal judges wouldn’t be able to restrain themselves — but would lionize and try to paint as wounded, hapless puppies the worst immigrants on Earth.
Poor, Poor Pitiful Jihadis
The Left took the bait. Look at the latest “victims” these apostles of counterfeit Christian compassion have decided to paint as martyrs: The equally radical, equally illegal immigrant relatives of the vicious jihadi who used arson to target a Jewish event to aid Holocaust survivors (one of whom he burned to death), Mohamed Sabry Soliman.
Mass media can’t help themselves. They’re too driven by religious zeal:

Collecting Slaves for Sex Traffickers
So the Left will go to the wall for privileged, middle-class, jihadi Muslims who blew through their tourist visas and stayed in our country so their patriarch could incinerate Jews who’d escaped the Nazis. You know who the Left won’t talk about? The 300,000 unaccompanied minors smuggled into our country and sent to whoever wanted them, with no vetting or DNA tests for alleged relatives. (Joe Biden abolished that.)
How are things going for those migrants, who aren’t incinerating American Jews? Gateway Pundit gives us a glimpse:
A 37-year-old illegal immigrant, Wilson Manfredo Lopez-Carillo, was arrested in Palm Beach County, Florida, for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl placed in his home through the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) “Unaccompanied Alien Children” (UAC) program.
According to the Daily Wire, the arrest was made on May 22, 2025.
According to charging documents from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Lopez-Carillo faces three counts of sexual assault on a minor.
The victim, who arrived in the U.S. in August 2023 as an unaccompanied minor, was sent by HHS to live with Lopez-Carillo and others in a loosely vetted household.
 
Police reports detail a horrifying pattern of abuse, with Lopez-Carillo allegedly taking advantage of the girl’s isolation to assault her on multiple occasions in February 2024.
 
On one occasion, while the adult woman in the household was out selling tamales to support the family, Lopez-Carillo allegedly grabbed the teen in the kitchen, dragged her to his bedroom, and sexually assaulted her.
 
A second incident followed a similar pattern, with the predator offering the girl $100 to stay silent — an offer she bravely refused. Fearing retribution, the teen initially did not report the assaults, as Lopez-Carillo had threatened her to keep quiet.
 
Go read the rest, if you have the heart. How many more victims are on Joe Biden’s catatonic conscience? We won’t know on this side of the grave.
 
This is the filth, the exploitation, the mass rape that the Left is happy to invite into our nation in order to pose as defenders of “victims” and rack up names for voter fraud. Once again, the group designated as “victims” get victimized for real by those who pretend to defend them.
 
Leftists haven’t just chosen Barabbas. They have tarted him up as Christ.

For over 50 years, For the Strength of Youth has been a guide for generations of Latter-day Saint youth. I always keep a copy in my pocket, and I share it with people who are curious about our standards. It has been updated and refreshed to better cope with the challenges and temptations of our day. The new version of For the Strength of Youth is available online in 50 different languages and will also be available in print. It will be a significant help for making choices in your life. Please embrace it as your own and share it with your friends.
This new version of For the Strength of Youth is subtitled A Guide for Making Choices.
To be very clear, the best guide you can possibly have for making choices is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the strength of youth.
So the purpose of For the Strength of Youth is to point you to Him. It teaches you eternal truths of His restored gospel—truths about who you are, who He is, and what you can accomplish with His strength. It teaches you how to make righteous choices based on those eternal truths.13
It’s also important to know what For the Strength of Youth does not do. It doesn’t make decisions for you. It doesn’t give you a “yes” or “no” about every choice you might ever face. For the Strength of Youth focuses on the foundation for your choices. It focuses on values, principles, and doctrine instead of every specific behavior.
The Lord, through His prophets, has always been guiding us in that direction. He is pleading with us to “increase [our] spiritual capacity to receive revelation.”14 He is inviting us to “hear Him.”15 He is calling us to follow Him in higher and holier ways.16 And we are learning in a similar way every week in Come, Follow Me.

As the heirs of the French Revolution, Democrats have a history that consists of pandering to mobs, time and again, while Republicans, heirs to the American Revolution, have regularly stood for peaceable order. Hoping to muddy this horrifying truth, liberals slanderously accuse conservatives of their own crimes—assassination plots, conspiracy theorizing, political violence, embrace of the Ku Klux Klan. Coulter shows that the truth is the opposite: Political violence—mob violence—is always a Democratic affair. Surveying two centuries of mob movements, Coulter demonstrates that the mob is always destructive. And yet, she argues, beginning with the civil rights movement in the sixties, Americans have lost their natural, inherited aversion to mobs. Indeed, most Americans have no idea what they are even dealing with.             Only by recognizing the mobs and their demonic nature can America begin to defend itself.

Food For The Poor began in 1982 in Jamaica. Today, our interdenominational Christian ministry serves the poor in primarily 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. For over 50 years, For the Strength of Youth has been a guide for generations of Latter-day Saint youth. I always keep a copy in my pocket, and I share it with people who are curious about our standards. It has been updated and refreshed to better cope with the challenges and temptations of our day. The new version of For the Strength of Youth is available online in 50 different languages and will also be available in print. It will be a significant help for making choices in your life. Please embrace it as your own and share it with your friends.
This new version of For the Strength of Youth is subtitled A Guide for Making Choices.
To be very clear, the best guide you can possibly have for making choices is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the strength of youth.
So the purpose of For the Strength of Youth is to point you to Him. It teaches you eternal truths of His restored gospel—truths about who you are, who He is, and what you can accomplish with His strength. It teaches you how to make righteous choices based on those eternal truths.13
It’s also important to know what For the Strength of Youth does not do. It doesn’t make decisions for you. It doesn’t give you a “yes” or “no” about every choice you might ever face. For the Strength of Youth focuses on the foundation for your choices. It focuses on values, principles, and doctrine instead of every specific behavior.
The Lord, through His prophets, has always been guiding us in that direction. He is pleading with us to “increase [our] spiritual capacity to receive revelation.”14 He is inviting us to “hear Him.”15 He is calling us to follow Him in higher and holier ways.16 And we are learning in a similar way every week in Come, Follow Me.

The Middle East holds 48% of the world’s oil reserves and produces nearly a third of its supply. Some assert that renewables are making oil irrelevant. Not in our lifetimes. Oil fuels industries. Oil fuels militaries. And oil is priced globally. Shocks in the Middle East hit the U.S. economy—directly. Others say America’s own energy boom makes the region irrelevant. That is shortsighted. What happens in the Middle East doesn’t stay in the Middle East. It moves markets, shakes alliances, and draws in hostile powers. He who controls the Middle East controls the crossroads of the global economy. Israel is America’s fortress at that crossroads. Two: Containing Iran Critics claim that Israel entangles America with Iran. This is a profound misunderstanding. Since its birth in 1979, the Islamic Republic has branded America the “Great Satan” and Israel the “Little Satan.” Everything Iran does, it does with that order in mind. To get to the U.S., Iran has to deal with Israel first. That’s why we, in the interest of our own security, must ensure that Israel has what it needs militarily. Israel is our front line of defense. If that bulwark is compromised, Iran will move on to its main targets—dominating the energy resources of the Gulf, and challenging America. They already have missiles capable of reaching Europe. Shipping those missiles to Iran’s ally Venezuela would put the Iranians in range of the U.S.—like Soviet missiles in Cuba in 1962, an intolerable threat. Nuclear weapons in the hands of a terrorist state is not a threat only to Israel. It’s a threat to us. Three: Projecting Force Israel might be small (about the size of New Jersey), but it’s lethal. And it fights. We can’t say that about many of our allies. All talk a good game, but few are willing to put their words into action. Israel is different. It spends at least 5% of its GDP on defense. The U.S. spends 3.4%. Many of our NATO allies are struggling to spend 2%. Canada spends 1.3%. Israel’s air force flies more combat missions annually than NATO’s Western European members combined. From generals to conscripts, its soldiers are combat-tested. And they don’t ask others to do their fighting for them. “Give us the tools, and we’ll finish the job,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said. As the world has seen, that’s not an idle boast. In a crisis, we want that kind of ally on our side. Four: Intelligence Gathering Israel’s intelligence service, Mossad, is unmatched in daring and results. In 2018, it raided Iran’s nuclear archive—in Tehran. In 2024, it launched Operation Grim Beeper, detonating Hezbollah pagers and crippling thousands of terrorists. These operations revealed deep penetration of both Iran and its proxies. The U.S. is excellent at gathering and processing intelligence data. So is Israel. But when it comes to human intelligence—information from people in positions of personal knowledge—Israel has no peer. When the U.S. needs eyes on the ground, ears in the room, or insight into the minds of our adversaries, we often turn to Israel. To say that without Israel the U.S. would be blind in the Middle East would be an exaggeration—but not by much. It’s one of the reasons why Africa is poor. Yes, you heard that right. For years, we've been sold the idea that aid from organizations like USAID helps "lift" Africa out of its poverty. But here’s the truth: if foreign aid worked, Africa would be the richest continent on Earth by now. Free market advocate and former US Congressman Ron Paul described it perfectly. “Foreign aid is taking money from the poor people of a rich country and giving it to the rich people of a poor country.” Walk through the streets of Dakar, Senegal where I am from, and you'll see exactly where your aid money goes. The city is filled with foreign residents working for the UN, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and embassies. They live in a parallel economy – one that most Senegalese can only observe from the outside. These aid workers enjoy lives of luxury: fine dining at expensive restaurants, driving new SUVs, occupying the best apartments in town, employing multiple household staff and hosting lavish parties. And, by the way, they receive "hardship pay" for the “sacrifice” of living in “faraway places filled with malaria, tropical diseases and tough climates.” This creates a devastating ripple effect throughout our local economy. These organizations, flush with seemingly unlimited cash, inflate the cost of everything – from housing to basic services. A local business owner like me has to compete with these inflated prices while running a real business with real constraints. But the damage goes deeper than just raising the cost of living. These organizations also poach our best and brightest talents with salaries that no local business can match. Instead of building new enterprises, innovating solutions, or creating economic value, our most capable people are diverted into bureaucratic jobs pushing papers and writing reports nobody will ever read. I've seen brilliant minds reduced to professional workshop attendees, moving from one donor-funded meeting to another, producing nothing of lasting value. When I travel across Africa, I don't see sustainable prosperity created by aid programs. Instead, I see the destruction of local markets and the creation of dependency cycles. Consider what happens in our villages: When free mosquito nets arrive, local merchants who sell them go bankrupt. The same thing happens with shoes. Donated shoes flood local markets, making it impossible for local shoe manufacturers to compete. And the “desperately needed” food aid? Much of that gets hijacked by corrupt government officials and sold at below market prices. African farmers can’t compete against this “free” food. So, they stop farming and move into the already crowded cities. Local food-producing ecosystems are destroyed, which only worsens the hunger problem. These are the real costs of “humanitarian aid.” To be clear, I’m not speaking about aid in response to an emergency like a natural disaster. But these disasters are rare. “Development aid” is an ever-flowing river of money and goods and it’s destroying a continent. Like all government sponsored efforts (this is as true within the US and Europe as it is in Africa), there is no accountability for the money spent. The budgets of these aid organizations make no sense in any real-world context. They measure success by money spent and goods distributed, not by actual economic development or the creation of profitable businesses. Even more frustrating is how this system creates a culture of dependency that diminishes Africans’ dignity. The narrative becomes one of Africa needing constant help, rather than Africa needing fair opportunities to compete and grow. When you think of Africa what comes to your mind: dynamic entrepreneurs or starving children? I thought so. I recently approached the head of a San Francisco venture fund looking for investment in a business I wanted to start in Africa. He didn’t want to give me capital. He wanted to give me charity. “Can we dig wells,” he asked? “They need fresh water, right?” That’s what got him excited. Condescension cloaked in do-goodism.
